STEVAN DWECK
Stevan Dweck, a native New Yorker and graduate of Juilliard, became a professional drummer at the age of 15. He developed an early love of music and played the famed New York "Borscht Circuit" as well as all the leading New York nightclubs working with Tony Bennett, Danny Kaye, Milton Berle, Red Buttons, Alan King and a host of other prominent performers.

Stevan made theater history when he became the youngest Broadway show drummer joining Phil Silvers in "Top Banana". He followed Silvers to Hollywood and worked on the film version and then followed up with "The Pajama Game". He finally made the move west and was in demand on the MGM lot by day working with choreographer Nick Castle for the legendary Eleanor Powell. He frequently worked on the Elvis Presley musicals as well as the "Unsinkable Molly Brown" which he followed with Liza Minelli's Revue. After working on "The Swinger" and "Made in Paris" with Ann-Margret he accompanied her to Las Vegas for her nightclub debut. This led to an 11 year engagement as Debbie Reynolds' conductor/drummer.
The Music Center filled in Stevan's evenings. His credits include: "Hello Dolly", Fiddler on the Roof", "Kismet", "Music Man", "The King and I", "Carousel", "How to Succeed......." etc

But is was the great dancers and choreographers who demanded to work with Stevan. He had exclusive associations with Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Shirley MacLaine, and Juliet Prowse. Choreographers Bob Fosse, Hermes Pan, Gower Champion, Ernie Flatt and Nick Castle requested his talents on an on-going basis for film and such television programs as the "Carol Burnett Show", "The Academy Awards", "Bob Hope Specials", "I Love Lucy" and scores of other programs and films. He is particularly proud of the recordings he made with Nat "King" Cole, Stan Kenton, Jack Jones and Freddy Martin.

He has performed at the White House for 6 U.S. presidents, the Queen of England, the princes of Monaco and numerous international corporate clients.
Stevan has gathered an outstanding group of musicians who currently perform all styles of music in the Los Angeles area and help you to dance like Fred and Ginger!
He currently resides in Corona Del Mar, California and gives no indication of retiring from his life long love affair with music.
